Swimming Carnival Success

On the 16th February, Good Samaritan Catholic College held the annual 2022 Swimming Carnival. Even though not all students attended, their competitive spirits were still burning. This year's College Swimming Carnival was a different experience, but everyone still had an exceptional time.

Students got on the bus at 8:30am for a short ride to Prairiewood Leisure Centre before the beginning of an action-packed day filled with swimming and cheering. Over 70 students participated in this year’s swimming carnival.

Luckily, the weather was great, and the carnival was a success. The day was filled with many races, including:

  • 100-metre freestyle

  • 50-metre freestyle

  • 50-metre backstroke

  • 50-metre breaststroke

  • 50-metre butterfly

Students who attend the carnival would all agree that they had a memorable experience and are looking forward to participating in later years.

“ We had a great time competing and gaining house points.”

Karina J (Year 8 Sports Representative)

We would like to thank all the staff and students at GSCC for making the 2022 Swimming Carnival possible. Congratulations to all the participants this year. Overall, it was another eventful day.
